Kinda depends on your car.
Some USA models didn't come with the socket in the switch, but most do.
Wire to the rear light may or may not be there. Only one lamp lights up and will be on the driver's side.
Socket will be missing from the light cluster. Easy fix, just swipe one from a similar light cluster.
Cars after about 1990 had functional rear fog lights.
On some older cars, the only change was to disconnect the function at the light switch.
