My seat reclining feature doesn't work either, but unfortunately mine is stuck in upright position. Great for driving, but terrible for sleeping.

I haven't taken the control off, but is there a possibility of being able to clean the contacts?

Have you tested the motor itself?

BTW, how much was the new control?
