I'm finally excited about Christmas again...

After gaining full custody of my kids last month, I'm now excited about decorating the house for Christmas...for the first time in 8 years.

This weekend, I'll be going through the boxes of lights to see what's worth using, and what get's pitched. Doing so will give me an idea of what I need to purchase.

Our house has 10' ceilings, so a bigger tree will be in order. I'll be looking for one that is at least 8' tall.

The house, a Victorian design, will be treated with icecicle lighting, cascading down over the eaves. I'll need to get candle lights for the windows, as the house has 6 front windows that can be seen from the walkway.

I know that it may sound goofy to some of you, but being able to get excited about something like this again is pretty cool to me.

Does anyone else get worked up about Christmas lighting?
