Ahhh yes. The year I graduated from HS. There was some great music that year (and some stinkers you never hear any more).

I enjoy the fact that some of that music still sounds good to my children and a lot of it still sounds good to me.

Viet Nam was hanging over the heads of all of us during that year and the following five years I was in college. It was a powerful motivator to keep my grades up.

Buffalo Springfield had a strong war protest song "for what its worth" that was played on the Smothers Brothers comedy hour and was considered very very over the line. I think it may have been a factor in their show being cancelled by the network.
