I'd rather have the 2003 personally. The next gen still looks good, just a bit chubbier and I would prefer to avoid air ride.
My '85 500SL seems to like $2000 thrown at it every year to stay top notch and I don't drive it more than 1,000 miles annually. I've been saying for years that I'm running out of things to fix, it hasn't happened yet.
