I'm not sure of the thickness, but it seems pliable enough that if I used a veneer scraper, it might take to the dash terrain ok. I think you are right about show-through due to the adhesive application and/or the cracks themselves due to the lifting of the dash material just around the crack. I was thinking of using 3M flexible parts repair kit (meant for plastic bumper repair) to fill the cracks in and sand, but if the sanding were not perfect, the reskinning would show every surface irregularity! Or I could take $$ out of my stupid retirement account and send the dash to Just Dashes...
