Look at your shift lever and you will see a large nut. Remove this and if there are plastic bits, then you will need a new bushing because the original one is shot. If the column rod is loose at the lower end, where it goes into the steering plate bolted to the chassis, you will need two rubber-plastic bushings to keep the long rod centered.
I have replaced ALL bushings through the dealer parts dept and the cost was 42.00, so not a deal breaker
