1. Get the car up to operating temp, then shut off.
2. put a thin glove on your right hand
3. loosen the lock nut (inner) and then remove the bolt
4. inspect for wear on the tip and make sure the spring is firm (push on the tip)
5. Reinstall and turn the bolt until you feel it meet resistance. Start the engine.
6. Turn the bolt in until the engine smooths out. Tighten lock nut while holding RD bolt in place.

You will be sticking your hand in a very hot place. Take precautions. At some points there may be a need to wrap your hand around the top oil cooler line. You might want to wrap that in a small paper towel or shop rag.

I properly adjusted RD bolt is a beautiful thing.
