This is true. I remember around that time, I was about 10, seeing caddys advertised for "still under $11k" brand spankin' new. If the mercedes was 42k, I was just thinking, wow, what a difference. But as we know know, these cars were well worth the money. Meantime, Buciraco, I would go buy that Toyota.
