The hydraulic line goes from the master cyl to the remote booster 'slave' cyl. The problem could be a bad main seal in the remote master cyl and the remote booster has filler up with brake fluid.

You will have to investigate this and fix the remote master cyl. You may also have to overhaul the remote booster. Then since you are doing all that, check all the brake hoses and then the slave cyls at each brake.

Pontons and early Fintails use the same brake system. 1963 was the changeover year from 1st version to 2nd version, dual circuit and disc brakes were the major upgrades.
