Not sure what the dollar amount will be, but it will be a percentage of the sale price. The most it cost, the higher the tags.

I'd have to guess if the price was $18K, tags would be ~$280 for the first year, subsequent years lower. Might be less if the Gray Davis license rebate remains in effect.
