Thats a lot of work and not worth the effort.

In audiophile circles Bose products are looked down upon. Their speakers are often overpriced and lack full accurate sound response. I do have a few of them too as well as some vintage Avid 3-ways which put them to shame.

On top of that it would be 'aftermarket' because you'd end up customizing harnesses and what not to get everything to fit/work.

Far cheaper to just use aftermarket products. The Boston Acoustics speakers have been in my 190E for 11 years without any problems.

I've not had any 'dicey aftermarket issues.'
