That 155mph speed limit is the result of a manufacturer's agreement between BMW, Audi and M-B. Porsche has opted out, though. It was more political than engineering-motivated, although they do spec the tires according to the performance potential of the car, the tires weren't the cause of this limit.

AMG offers a "de-limited" option to cars available in Europe so I would assume you could order the required parts and DIY?? I wouldn't try your dealer, but rather go through AMG Europe.
