Just read today that the Elise is coming to the USA in 2004. The bumpers need modification and of coarse other federalization quirks need to be fulfilled, but it's promised to come stateside!
Performance estimates are 0-60 in 4.5 sec, and a top spped of 154 mph. Engine to be used is Toyota's Celica's 1.8 litre 180 hp. with a 6 speed trans either from the Celica or the MR 2. Should be interesting and worth a look!
