I successfully pulled the transmission (722.303) out of my '82 300SD yesterday.
I followed
this howto, which was a good start, but omits a few critical steps (such as removing the starter prior to dropping the transmission).
I also used my Chilton manual for pointers, but it's even worse.
I still need to drop the transmission on my '83 300SD, since I intend to swap in the '82 transmission.
Would you folks be interested in me taking a bunch of pictures and updating/fleshing out the above linked howto? I've looked for others, but the
only one I found has all its pictures broken, and no instructions (and it's for a 300TE).
