I have the same problem. I have a 1996 E300D diesel. The black "box" is the fuel shutoff valve. All the plastic fuel lines have "O" ring seals. The shutoff valve has a seal where it enters the injector pump. However, I don't know how to remove the valve. I can see only one screw holding it but it won't budge even with the screw removed. I hope someone can come up with help.
