Some @#@$## grabbed the "star" on my 560 SEL and broke the base. The "star" is intact but the fitting it sits in is broken. I heard that some company makes a base that is "pull out" style. That way you can just pull the "star" when you are going to be leaving the car in a place where vandalism may happen then plug it back in when you hit the road. My incident happened in daylite hours at a Wal-Mart parking lot. Anyone know about this "pull out" hood ornament base?
