... when Jaybob brought me his 83 240D, to fix the a/c, he picked up everything at the local autoparts store... nothing had to be ordered. the BRAND NEW compressor was a next day thing from the warehouse...
unless they were changing the evaporator or something else rare and unique... they were feeding you a line.
