Not to worry - I was able to get regulator out.

Once I removed the 5 regulator blts/nuts, I was able to get the regulator bracked over te edge of the door opening and move it down a bit (having motor already off might have helped). I was able to get it down enough to get the forward bolt off the window bar. The other other one then could be accessed through the elongated hole.

Just thought I should document that it can be done with window initially up and motor dead.
