The engine will fit, BUT would require a lot of "special" parts to make everything work. IN 1973 MB sold the 280C(W114.060) with a M110 carburetor engine.

In Germany they had a 280CE(W/C114) chassis but that car had EFI fuel system & different intake manifold.
