fwiw

fwiw I settle at least a week in the sun, and then I have a good flow rate through a 10+1 micron pair for at least 40 gallons, which is the most I ever do at once. I stop pouring when the "ghosts" come (what my toddler calls the gravy). Then I wash out the bags with a couple squirts of dawn in the garage sink and hang 'em in the sun to dry.

The inch or three of gravy in each cubie gets combined together and resettled. Eventually I pour all the gravy over the compost.

If I only settle for a couple of days, the flow rate starts to go down significantly after about 10 gallons. So a whole week or more of settling makes filtering easier.

This is in LA weather. For my needs and location a centrifuge is unnecessary.

and x3 on dudadiesel.
