I have read that it doesn`t make any decrease in the noise level, however when I installed a new one on the 240, it really did make a noticable difference.
I have the Turbo pad on it and don`t hear the Turbo Whine now.

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto
Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
