Just curious, I have noticed that my fuel gauge has started the dance when around 1/4 tank. Not too concerned and will address that later. I am interested in what range most are getting on a full tank of Diesel. I know this is not scientific with all the variables but am curious. I have somewhere in my storage my fathers ( original buyer/owner of the 85 300SD ) log book for every tank of fuel he ever put in. It includes where it was bought, how much per gallon etc.
He was meticulous with this car until about 10 years ago. Anyway I have only been filling up when I get to a 1/4 tank and the gauge goes nuts. It usually takes 15-16 gallons and I am full. This takes me to around 430-450 miles.
What are others getting ?
