as long as the electrical connection fits, the shape of the filler is irrelevant. I guess if the filler FILLS the socket, it could prevent corrosion from condensation collecting... I don't know.
ALL the square cords I've seen do not come with the metal collar threaded to hold the cord on the block. I like this cord, and it's made in the USA. perfect fit on the 602 in my 93, and perfect fit on my 87's.

I started an ebay listing, I bought 10 of them, if anybody wants them at my cost, just let me know.
I don't know if the 61x uses the same socket or not. very few of the cars in my yard have the block heaters installed in the 61x motors... and if they did, they'd have come with a cord, so other than damage I don't think a 61x motor can use the cord anyway...
