The copper pipe is for methanol recovery after processing

By flowing cold water through the plastic pipe connections with the processor pump running after the batch is finished the leftover methanol vapours will condense and you can drain off the condensed methanol and reuse for the next batch. The pipe inside the barrel is a standpipe , when the processed batch is pumped into the barrel the level of the bio will be higher than the pipe , you can open the valve connected to the pipe and bio will come out leaving the glycerol to come out the valve connected to the bottom plug. this is because the glycerol is more dense than the bio. Biodiesel infopop is a great resource for newbies much better than Journey to forever. Cheers Dan
