My car is 1984 190E 2.3 (8V-canadian specifications)with 130 000 miles on it. Some times ago, the car begun to show poor low rpm torque while town driving as soon as the engine reached normal operating temperature. Whem the engine is cold (as I live in the north, cold means 30 F), there is a satisfactory amount of low end torque. When the engine is warm, almost nothing happens below 2500 rpm and then there is a very sharp increase in power.
Recently two of the engine temperature sensors went off (one for the cold starting and the other for the fan clutch), could it be that the temp sensor for the ke-jetronic is starting to fail? (anyone have the specifications?). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
