I am new to Benz. I am buying a 1998 C230 w/58k miles in a few days. What is the process of determining fault codes and do i need a specific diagnostic tool. I have never used electronic diagnostic tools before but i can turn a wrench. I have a 1986 porsche 944 Turbo that I get greasy and bloody with time to time.
