I ran across the G-Wagon web site a few years back. the guy did have more info on the manual trans the G`s use. had a listing of different repair manuals. I don`t see it any more, but contacting Harold Pietschmann the owner of the site, he might help you out. there is a contact me in one of these links.

I was going to buy one of the manuals on the 5-spd gear box about 3 yrs ago, wish I did.

there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.
