The Dems will have to take the house, hold the Senate, and have a POTUS of their ilk in power before anything like this happens.
Seeing that we only have 45 more months of the current POTUS, and the people will see through the BS due to the work of the NRA and other gun rights groups, I don't see this happening.
If the taxation of the right to own firearms comes to be as written in the story, it will be the dawn of a fight in this country the likes as we have never seen. With roughly 80 million gun owners in the nation owning over and the average gun owner owning roughly 8-10 guns each...does the government really want to stoke that fire? Hell, the number of guns owned in this country by civilians is the reason why we aren't being invaded by foreign military forces.
Like I said...I don't see this happening.
