To some degree, absolutely. However, to make a political decision that coal is no longer a player since uncle Joe did say he will bankrupt them. Also, it is pretty clear that natural gas is a lot cleaner than coal, so it's a natural subsitute / choice. But the money that the politicians are shoveling into natural gas leaves the coal burning industry at a disadvantage, however. Many of the coal burning players are trying to update their equipment to make it burn cleaner and keep pace with natural gas, but when the tax payers are "helping" one player over another, not really sure how helpful that is in the long run. The federal government has an incredibly poor track record in picking winners and losers. Personally, I have no dog in the fight, but when the government helps determines the winners and losers, there is an incredibly high chance we all end up losers.
