Are you talking about the clear, plastic filter with the 90* bend which goes right into the fuel pump ? If so, you're worrying about nothing. I actually ran an exta one of these since my WVO was super clean but I always found "floaties" in my clear filters. Not sure what they are, just floating pieces of crap. I had a 30 plate HE and never an issue, and I ran that system for 4 years. I am going with the 50 plate HE, 12" x 5" x 5" since my battery is relocated to the trunk. I can superheat at least a quart of fuel before the switch over.
