I've always wondered how possible it would be to install a 617 turbo in a TN van. I'm pretty sure MB did a few at the factory. There were a number of aftermarket turbo installs for the 616 and 617 engines in that chassis. I have the impression that a different intake and exhaust manifold was used to move the turbo forward and up I think to get adequate clearance.

What is you opinion of the strength of the body/chassis once that right side doghouse wall is removed?
