My '84 5-speed Euro TD has the wood strips on the dash but not on the console switch-plate, ashtray, or shifter cover. I do have an extra wood-trimmed ashtray though if I want to dress mine up a bit more.

Does yours still have the trunk-mounted warning triangle?
Curiously, some other significant options that were availible only on Euro W123s included a driver's airbag and antilock brakes. (My TD has neither)

If it wasn't done recently by the PO, once you get your fuel issue sorted out, before you make that long cross-country trip, you might consider replacing the vacuum pump. See my thread from 4 years ago titled 'I lost my Balls! And other threads here on this topic.
