It is very easy to free ones self from this position. Using a carbide wheel cut through the three screws that hold the electrical portion to the steering lock. The plane of the blade should be set at a right angle to the screws which you can't see. You will cut first through the outer skin of the ignition switch. If done cleanly the switch will even be reusable. (through now with three slots in its base).
