If you don't have the title you can leave it on the street and call the city's abandoned car department (not correct name but you get the idea) and they will tow it away free of charge very quickly. If the "abandoned" car is on your property it is a much longer process. I just did this (without title) recently with a 240D. I stipped most everything off the car including windows, differential, axles, engine, tranny, crome... I put 4x4 blocks between the swing arms and the bump stops so it would roll, pushed the shell onto the street and called the city. Within two hours the car was gone.
