After reading a couple of threads on the use of a juicer as a centrifuge, I bit. A fraction of the cost of items designed specifically for the task, and for those who have a lot of time to spend "polishing" their oil, it did a fine job. I'm not going to test the oil that came out of it with a mass spec chromatograph nor do I care what's left in the oil. All I know is that for $40, I am preventing the stuff below from getting into my IP and ending up as a deposit somewhere in my engine.
I picked this oil up yesterday so it has only had about 24 hours to settle. It was dumped into the drum through a 100um filter. Below is what came out of five gallons.
Quick wipe with a clean towel...
It only runs about five gallons an hour but, I only use about 10 gallons of fuel a week so it's just right for my needs. If I needed anymore fuel I would buy another juicer so I could clean up more fuel.
