Replaced cat this morning (and a leaking resonator pipe with a straight pipe while I was at it). Car runs great....it can finally BREATHE! You should have seen all the carbon in the exhaust system!!!

One question that arose from my conversation with the exhaust guy....according to him and the folks at Magnaflow, cats only fail if there's some other problem with the car, some problem upstream that causes the cat to fail. So it made me wonder about EGR deletion. Could that added exhaust cause the premature failure of a cat?

EDIT: I talked to Magnaflow tech support....they didn't seem to think that EGR deletion would have any adverse effect.
