Having done this twice in the past couple of months, here's how I did it:

- Pull ALL the bolts out of both ends (trans and differential) of the driveshaft (total of 6 bolts). As mentioned, you'll need to rotate the shaft so put your jack stands under the frame (I have a hoist so this isn't an issue).

- Remove the center support crossmember

- Make like a caveman and yank the assembly down at the center bearing

- Use a prybar or big honkin' screwdriver and work one of the centering pins (front or rear) off the flex disc (mine were stuck). Watch out as that end of the shaft will fall.

- Repeat prying the other pin off and the shaft will be on the floor.

Depending on how tight the slip yoke is (mine were both pretty loose) you may need to back off the gland nut on the slip yoke. It's easier if the yoke will slide a bit.

Worked for me.
