Resale may not be a concern to him. I recently bought an 83 240d with thoughts of putting a 617 turbo engine in it. I like the simplicity of the manual windows and tranny, and cooling and heating system, but the power and economy of the turbo engine. When I am to the point I can no longer drive, I don't care what the resale value is!
