JOSEV, Based on my CD looks as though you are correct. However, based on the description in the CD it looks as though the valve in the filter is inteded to prevent backwash of dirty oil rather than retention in top end.

I think the bottom line is that the 103 does not have the check valve.


Wish it did, my car rapps like hell sometimes when warming up. I am also consuming oil, wondering if warn vavle seal could contribute to rapp.
