Cooljay is correct. PNP charges a Environmental fee on every purchase.

I pulled a 617.951 engine last march

$249.99 diesel engine w/accessories
$049.99 core

the following are 1/2 price if still attached to the engine

$20.00 a/c compressor
$08.99 core

$10.00 alternator
$06.99 core

$10.00 starter
$06.99 core

$15.50 power steering pump
$04.99 core

$05.50 motor mount

$09.50 air cleaner

$31.50 turbocharger
$09.99 core

$14.99 bracket over 8in - oil filter housing

$454.92 sub total

$073.43 you saved

0.17 admission tax

$029.57 environmental fee

$035.45 state sales tax

$446.68 total

So tjts1, look a little closer at you receipt the next PNP run. PNP is not shy about what they charge.

The admission tax may be a state tax, but does vary a cent or so between countys.
