You don't have to mess with the motor to get the cable out. You take out the inner liner, take out the 2 screws, and the cable will pull out with the motor running with the switch held in the forward direction. Once back in, you will have to re-time the mechanism. Do you have the service CD? We sell them. You will need the 124 for the 300E.
