They simply last......

Johnson Controls (made in the USA) batteries make most of the Interstate, Die Hard, and Wal Mart batteries at this time. Wal Mart used to sell the Exide batteries, which some last and some don't. I bought a battery several years ago, it was a Johnson Control battery, at Pep Boys. Now they sell Exide.I bought a J. Control battery at Autozone a few years ago. Last month I bought a Johnson Control battery at Wal Mart . It has 900 CCA . I've had 4 Johnson Control batteries over the years, not counting the current ones, and they all lasted 8 years or more. In 2000, I bought a new Benz, the OEM battery lasted about 7 years. I bought a replacement OEM MB battery and it (made in Spain) lasted 6 years.I don't own stock in Johnson Controls, but I will continue to buy their batteries till the let me down!
