87 300D rear side marker wiring help

Trying to sort electrical mystery and need a little help: Can someone with an 87 300D verify whether the left side marker is or is not supposed to be connected with the No. 3 fuse? I have read the fuse guide and wiring diagrams ... the fuses list "parking lamp," which according to my wiring diagram list are the same as the tail lamp? It doesn't specifically list side markers, though I had assumed the left side goes on No. 8 fuse with the tail and front side marker on that side. In the wiring diagram, both rear side markers are labelled as being on circuit "SM" as the wires enter N7 ... but "SM" isn't listed as going on to any fuse. Whereas the taillamp/parking lamps are either on 58L or 58R which are clearly labelled as connected to No. 8 or No. 3 fuse.
It would help me a lot to know if the fact that my left rear side marker lights up with (or goes out with) the No. 3 fuse is expected or a problem. If that is not how it's supposed to work, it narrows down my reasons for why that fuse is blowing (sort of). Can anybody either clarify the wiring diagram, or just go pull the No. 3 fuse and see what happens to the left side marker?
