My car too has 134A and as long as its 85F or below it works pretty well. At least with its current charge and etc etc. I mean doing AC work is not horrible. I just bought a Robinaire vacuum pump for $100, new.
.... I can post up my maintenance history log if you want to see. There are some prices of stuff done in there... etc.
I think the 300CD would be cool but a large amount of work over the 300D. plus....300D (iirc) is 120 HP?

Saw your sig mentions cruise control & he believes this cc is in/op due to linkage not being hooked back up after the new transmission was put in about 2 years ago. ( $2,500. job ) Any input on how to hook that back up ? Where to start ? is it a DIY job ?
On the Air being 134A and this is S. Fl I am going to be looking for it blowing cold but also no vac leaks and coming out strong enough to cool the cabin quickly. I went to see a beautiful 92 300E gasser yesterday - 1 owner clean clean in & out but the AC was almost non existent like it was getting trapped in side the dash ....
Thanks,.
