On the Air being 134A and this is S. Fl I am going to be looking for it blowing cold but also no vac leaks and coming out strong enough to cool the cabin quickly. I went to see a beautiful 92 300E gasser yesterday - 1 owner clean clean in & out but the AC was almost non existent like it was getting trapped in side the dash ....

Thanks,.

On the OM602, the actuator is mounted TO the intake. The 603 is mounted under. There is one piece of linkages that connects the acutator to the remainder of the throttle linkage. Mine broke (its plastic) once and I had to replace it $18.

As far as failures go, 90%+ of the time the failure is in the amplifier. I've seen a few actuators fail but a very small percentage compared to amplifier failure. The 91 300D uses an 005 545 05 32 part number amplifier. I have put nearly 30,000 miles on one of my rebuilt amplifiers in my own 300D.
