Fuel additives damage to catalytic converters?

I've added a GLK250 BlueTec for company to my other diesels. Reading their manual Mercedes strongly cautions against the use of additives to either fuel and DEF stating the fuel additives will damage the catalytic converters and cause high expense for repair. I've alternated using two stroke oil and Lucas Diesel additive to the fuel for the 190D with considerable success in increasing fuel mileage and power. Since I may keep this new addition for the long term I thought adding lubricity to the top end might help extend life.

Any thoughts or experience for vehicles with catalytic converters that have to pass smog inspections?
