1st thought is of course that you got used to it being too low give it another 30 years and it will sit low again

I replaced mine with 1991 w126 seats and it was much higher, I just motored it back down to where I like it.

It's completely normal. If its too high at the lowest setting, you can try and pull the seat and bend the lower frame with the right c-clamp but I'd say that's a last ditch effort.

At the lowest setting is it too high?
