Hello,

I just replaced the engine in my 1984 300SD (myself). I have some sort of sensor that I can't figure out what it is. The wire comes from the right side, hooking into a wiring harness below the battery, through a connector in front of the washer fluid tank and across the partition behind the engine. I have pictures of the wire before I removed the original engine, and it looks like it goes straight down behind the engine, but none of my pictures show where it came from. I swear, I don't remember taking it off before I pulled the engine, but evidently I did.

Anywho, can someone tell me where this thing goes and exactly what it is? I can't see an empty hole anywhere that it would plug into. The photo with the wire itself circled in red is how it sits now. It should go straight down behind the engine somehow...
