It has been a while... but better late than never.

Remove radiator to have room to work
You will need to anyways to get a 8mm allen on the fan clutch bolt
A very large set of channel lock pliers wedged between the pulley and fan clutch (not on the part where the s-belt goes) will be enough leverage to hold it while breaking loose the 8mm bolt.

Yes the 27mm crank bolt will have to be removed to take off the harmonic or vibration damper. If it doesn't slide off then get a loaner puller tool from a local auto parts store.
Remember to remove the six 13mm bolts also on the pulley before trying pull the harmonic off or you'll ruin the crank main seal.
